Help Animals in Shelters with Stamps

Starting April 30th you can buy stamps at the post office that help to buy food for shelter pets. You can pre-order them online. I think this would be a great thing to spread around.

Please give 20 seconds to my fave charity

Most of you know Jon is on the board of Canine Companions for Independence, a non-profit that breeds, trains and gives away for free (!) service dogs to the handicapped.

Currently CCI is in 3rd place for sending people to the site for the Novartis Million Dog Search contest. Can you help us get to 1000? If so, that will be $1000 for CCI! Please go to the link below and take the survey.

And if we send the most people to do the survey for screening their dog for arthritis we will WIN $25,000 -- woo hoo.
It only takes about 20 seconds. If you have a dog, please take the survey.
At the end of the survey click on Canine Companions for Independence and help our little dog in the race move to 1000! Going to the site is worth it to just see the little avatar dogs run and see the CCI dog in front!!
You can also send this email to your friends and family who have dogs.
Here's the site:

Thanks so much for supporting CCI!

We've lost another Munchkin!!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The man best known for pronouncing a wicked witch dead has died.

Meinhardt Raabe, the Munchkin coroner in "The Wizard of Oz," died this morning at the age of 94.

Raabe had lived for years at a retirement home in Penney Farms.

Bob Riegel, president of Penney Retirement Community, said Raabe started today as usual, enjoying breakfast and being as talkative as ever. He fell ill after breakfast and called for a nurse.

Riegel said doctors believe, but have not confirmed, Raabe suffered a heart attack. He maintained his giving nature all the way to the end, said Riegel.

"Everybody knows that he was in 'The Wizard of Oz,' but as he got older and older...he still had a very high degree of interest in going to classrooms and children's get-togethers," Riegel said. "He enjoyed doing his thing and keeping the memory of the wizard going with those newer generations of people."

A little more than two years ago, Raabe traveled to a place far beyond Kansas to see his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame unveiled.

In 2006, Raabe took part in Orange Park's "Wizard of Oz Day," and is the author of the book "Memories of a Munchkin."

Great Cause

the Dublin Dog Foundation partnering with Freedom Service Dogs, Inc. to provide an injured war veteran with a service dog. As I mentioned, to raise money to purchase the dog, DDF will be raffling off a Jeep that will tour through some major U.S. cities in the South. The raffle ticket link recently went live and tickets can be purchased at http://dublindogfoundation.org/contribute.php for $20. It is a great way to give back to someone who has so bravely served our country.

Help an injured vet get a service dog and maybe win a jeep!

My air date has changed to Tuesday, the 6th of April.
Showbiz Tonight airs 4x that day, incl. 2pm and 8 pm Pacific.

Thanks for your prayers and concern for my friend...please keep them coming.

Jon will be in San Francisco at WonderCon Friday only. I'm staying home.
I am standing in papers up to my knees, just have to dig my way out.

Happy Holiday weekend, all!
