Our traveling has finally ended for awhile and we are so thrilled. Time to rescue a new doggie to try to fill the hole in our hearts left by the passing of our Barney last February. I hope by Thanksgiving that we'll have a new friend.

We had very successful trips to LA and NYC. Jon appeared on The Early Show again 2 weeks ago and we had a couple of great meetings with the Animal Planet -- fingers crossed.

I think/hope I will sell my next book by Christmas...more fingers crossed. It's a book I have wanted to write for more than 20 years so it would be an amazing dream-come-true for me. Hoping to do a documentary simultaneously
and, of course, will announce the happy news here when it happens! Can't say too much -- might jinx it.

Got a few more irons on the fire for 2009, too.
