A Fond Trip Down Memory Lane by Very Rev. Archimandrite Gregori

Dear Laurie;

I was just searching the web one afternoon (which I often do when I have some extra time on my hands), when I came across your husband's website. I am so happy that I did, as it brought back so many memories of my childhood, growing up in Rochester, New York.

How I miss the days of "Lassie", "Gun Smoke", "The real McCoys", the original "Superman" with George Reeves, "The Life of Rielly", "Rin Tin Tin", "The Lone Ranger",
"Roy Rogers and Dale Evans", etc. I can go on but I might run out of time and space if I listed them all. Those where the days when television was truly worth watching and a time when actors and actresses had real talent and grace.

Well, some where along the line, I grew up, became an Orthodox Catholic priest, served four and a half years doing missionary work in South Vietnam and Laos during the War. I returned home, married and was assigned to minister to Southeast Asian refugees who had been settled in the Greater Rochester, Monroe County area. My wife and I adopted four children, three boys from Vietnam and one boy from Laos. Today, I am the grandfather of seven five grandsons and two grandaughters. Two years ago, I became semi-retired from the active ministry, which leaves me a bit more time to remember the past.

I would have to say, that you were blessed with your choice of husbands and I am very glad that his and your live has turned out well.
